These portraits are painted on the computer, stroke by stroke and then printed on Arches 90 pound water color paper.
This is an affordable alternative to an oil painting and can be done quite quickly because there is no drying time because oil takes weeks to dry.
With your input, I capture the personality of your pet perfectly.
During the painting of portraits we will be discussing the look that you want to achieve. We will talk about the style you want, the surface you would like and the background colors that will complement your dog, cat or horse
in your custom pet portrait.
As a pet portraits artist your input is crucial in the pet portrait process. I want you to be happy with the finished pet portrait and communication is paramount in my work.
I like to paint your pet portraits from a main photograph which should be large, clear and in focus.
I also like to have a couple of extra photographs for reference especially if the main photo does not exactly represent the colors or personality of your dog.
If your photo has red eye, which happens often, I can fix that but I will need a photograph or digital image with the color of your pet’s eye so that I can correctly represent that in pet portrait.
If you want a custom background, I can certainly put one into the painting for an extra fee.
If you have more than one dog you would like in the portrait I can do that too! I will do my best to give you the portrait you want.
