With your input, we capture the personality of your pet perfectly.

During the painting of portraits we will be discussing the look that you want to achieve. We will talk about the style you want, the surface you would like and the background colors that will complement your dog, cat or horse in your custom portrait.

As a pet artist your input is crucial in the pet paintings process. I want you to be happy with the finished portrait and communication is paramount in my work.

I like to paint your dog portraits from a main photograph which should be large, clear and in focus.

I also like to have a couple of extra photographs for reference especially if the main photo does not exactly represent the colors or personality of your dog.

If your photo has red eye, which happens often, I can fix that but I will need a photograph or digital image with the color of your pet’s eye so that I can correctly represent that in pet portrait.

If you want a custom background, I can certainly put one into the painting for an extra fee. If you have more than one dog you would like in the portrait I can do that too! I will do my best to give you the portrait you want. Please read my testimonials from my many customers who have sent me letters telling me how much their portraits meant to them, for a lost pet and for their friends who wanted a keepsake of their best friend.
